There is some wonderful information available on the Web. If you read other sites that you think other Webring forum members may find interesting or useful, consider posting links to them. Adding some descriptive commentary would be great.

Total Recorder.

It's great for recording conf calls, esp. the Q&A guts of the call.

Just to add to this, it can easily be programed to start recording at a specific time and also to launch a program (you can use a link to a URL) at the same time. This way you can not use up bandwidth between when you set it to record and when it records.

Here's an entry into Fiscal Agents' website (via TorStar) that provides not only the usual savings/deposit and loan interest rates but also such things as:
• Drug dispensing fees
• Safe deposit box fees
• Travel insurance
• Etc.
(Use the pulldowns to select the data you're interested in.)

http://www.sedar.com/homepage_en.htm

www.sedar.com is the official site that provides access to most public securities documents and information filed by public companies and investment funds with the Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) in the SEDAR filing system. The statutory objective in making public this filed information is to enhance investor awareness of the business and affairs of public companies and investment funds and to promote confidence in the transparent operation of capital markets in Canada. Achieving this objective relies heavily on the provision of accurate information on market participants.

Hi guys,

This is an in-browser calculator for mutual funds and ETFs that I've been working on.

I was inspired to start work on it after having some discussions about MERs and commission fees on this forum.

You can compare two funds with different fees which otherwise are expected to return the same performance. You can plug in MER, some basic fees, time horizon as well as expected annual returns. You can also 'simulate' random market fluctuations.

You can check the calculator out here:

http://schf.uc.org/calc/calculator.html

I would love to hear any comments or suggestions for further development, especially if I have missed anything. I am particularily interested in hearing about the buy / sell fees and what kind of additional parameters should be there for more sophisticated analysis.

Ever needed an old income tax interpretation bulletin that CRA doesn't seem to list any more?
